Attorney Mellissia (Mel) Fuhrmann joined Adam Burke in the Spring of 2023, bringing 15 years of government experience to the team. A former Prosecutor and Crime Victims’ Rights attorney, she offers a unique perspective on criminal defense. Her experience includes prosecuting misdemeanors in the Columbus City Attorney’s Office, assisting with Civil Protection Orders in the Franklin County Domestic Relations Court, and representing the County in Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency cases in Franklin County Juvenile Court.
Areas of Interest
Ms. Fuhrmann has a strong interest in OVI law, sex crimes, and Fourth Amendment issues.
Background
Originally from Northeastern Ohio, Ms. Fuhrmann now resides in Northwest Columbus with her cats, Romeo and Elton. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, weightlifting, yoga, and is active in Franklin County politics.
